Storyblok Partner · Australia
Grade is a Sydney-based digital product studio and Storyblok partner. This document covers the agency, their team, how they implement Storyblok, and five websites built on the platform.
B Corp certified. Carbon neutral. NSW Government accredited supplier.
Grade is a digital partner, established in 2012, that helps organisations navigate complexity, find clarity, and build for lasting impact. The agency brings together strategy, design and technology across three service areas: Strategy & Direction, Product & Platforms, and Optimisation & Growth.
Grade's approach is collaborative and grounded — working upstream of delivery to understand the problem before committing to a solution. The agency describes its four operating principles as: good work begins with understanding; clarity surpasses complexity; outcomes matter more than outputs; human needs should drive technology decisions.
Grade holds B Corp certification, is certified 100% Carbon Neutral by Clima, holds an NPS of 80, and is an accredited supplier on the NSW Government ICT Services Scheme.
Headless architecture. Visual editor. Component-based content models.
Storyblok is Grade's preferred CMS for website projects. The agency uses it in combination with Nuxt on the front end, with Algolia for search-heavy builds, and AWS for hosting where required.
Grade's implementation approach centres on building a component-based content model that mirrors the front-end component structure — reusable, consistently typed blocks that give authors control over page layout without developer involvement. The visual editor is a deliberate choice for client teams: authors can see exactly what they're publishing, in context, before anything goes live.
Grade has delivered five Storyblok sites to date, across residential property, government, health services, financial services, and their own agency platform. Projects have ranged from full platform rebuilds with content migration through to greenfield builds with complex third-party integrations.
The agency also maintains its own website (grade.net.au) on Storyblok, which serves as an active test environment for implementation approaches before they are applied to client projects.
Five Storyblok sites
Site retired following acquisition by AVID Property Group · grade.net.au/work/avjennings
AVJennings is one of Australia's longest-established residential property developers, founded in 1932. Grade was engaged to redesign and rebuild their digital platform.
The existing platform limited the marketing team's ability to publish content without developer involvement, and was underperforming on organic search at a community level. State marketing managers across Australia needed to manage content autonomously.
Grade rebuilt the platform on Storyblok with a content model structured around property communities and developments. SEO architecture was built in from the ground up. The full content migration was completed in six days and the platform launched ahead of schedule. The project is listed in the Storyblok partner case study portfolio.
"The foundation we've built is incredibly powerful. This partnership has set us up for future innovation and continues to drive results beyond expectations." — Vinay Raja, Creative & Digital Director, AVJennings
www.hamiltoncentre.org.au · Managed by Turning Point · In partnership with Supersolid
Hamilton Centre is a Victorian specialist centre for addiction and mental health services, established in 2023 following the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System. It is managed by Turning Point.
Grade partnered with Supersolid to design and build the centre's website. The platform needed to serve three distinct user groups — service providers, individuals, and families or carers — and meet WCAG AA accessibility standards throughout. A referral form and training calendar were integrated as core features from the outset.
The content model in Storyblok was structured to allow the small internal team to manage resources, events, and program information without requiring development support. The site is listed in the Storyblok partner case study portfolio.
"Working with Grade has been a great experience of teamwork and professionalism. The team was flexible and collaborative." — Irina Hart, Manager, Hamilton Centre
compass.info · Operated by Elder Abuse Action Australia · Australian Government funded
Compass is Australia's national elder abuse knowledge hub, operated by Elder Abuse Action Australia (EAAA) with funding from the Attorney-General's Department. Grade was engaged to redesign, rebuild and migrate the existing platform.
The project was delivered end-to-end: information architecture redesign, WCAG-compliant rebuild on Storyblok, full content migration with updated metadata to support filtering and search via Algolia, and a hosting migration to AWS. Grade managed stakeholder coordination across multiple government approval bodies throughout the engagement.
An ongoing support and maintenance arrangement has been in place since launch. The project is listed in the Storyblok partner case study portfolio.
"The site has been rebuilt to enable us to surface more content and increase functionality, which has resulted in significant audience growth." — Bev Lange, Executive Officer, EAAA
anchoragecapital.com.au · Website rebuild
Anchorage Capital Partners is a Sydney-based private equity firm that acquires and rebuilds businesses across Australia. Grade was engaged to rebuild their website.
The existing site needed to be replaced with a platform that reflected the firm's positioning — considered, relationship-focused, and credible to a sophisticated financial services audience — while allowing a small internal team to manage portfolio, team and insights content without development support.
Grade designed and built the new platform on Storyblok with a structured content model covering portfolio companies, team profiles and insights. The implementation includes an information architecture framework designed around the firm's AFSL obligations. Grade continues to provide support through ad-hoc new development requests and ongoing team training.
grade.net.au · Built and maintained by the Grade team
Grade's own website runs on Storyblok. The agency uses it as both their primary web presence and as an active test environment for implementation patterns before applying them to client projects.
The site is built on the same stack Grade uses for client projects — Nuxt front end, component-based content model in Storyblok. Work case studies, team profiles, service pages, and credentials are all managed by non-technical staff via the Storyblok visual editor without developer involvement in routine publishing.
The agency uses the site to trial content structures, navigation approaches and new Storyblok features in a production environment. Approaches that work on the Grade site are subsequently applied to client builds.
